April 28-May 2 is Education Week. April 30 is Support Staff Appreciation Day.
Education Week is a time to celebrate the contributions of our members to quality public education.
Some ideas for celebrating education with students can include the following:
--have students write essays or poems on the importance of education
--teach a class on the history of public education and the labour movement's contribution to it
--have students create artistic pieces on the theme OSSTF/FEESO Education: Ontario's Best Investment. What does a great education system look like? What does it consist of?
--have a penny drive for local charities.
